LinkedIn Post Tracker Chrome Extension
This section applies specifically to users of the LinkedIn Post Tracker browser extension ("Extension") published by Oliver Degnan LLC.
Data the Extension Collects
The Extension captures publicly visible metrics from your own LinkedIn posts, including:
Post date, title, and URL
Impressions, likes, comments, and reposts counts
Your LinkedIn username (entered by you in settings)
The Extension also stores:
Your license key (for activation and validation)
OAuth authentication tokens for Notion and/or Google (to save data to your chosen destination)
Your destination preferences and settings
How Your Data Is Used
All captured post metrics are saved exclusively to destinations you choose and control:
Notion: A database in your own Notion workspace
Google Sheets: A spreadsheet in your own Google Drive
The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit your data to any server owned by Oliver Degnan LLC, except as described below under "License Validation."
License Validation
When you activate your license key, and periodically thereafter, the Extension contacts our license validation server hosted on Cloudflare Workers (lpt-license.drdegnan.com) to verify your license status. This request includes only your license key and the email address associated with your purchase. No LinkedIn data or post metrics are transmitted to our servers.
Authentication and Token Handling
Notion: When you sign in with Notion, your authorization code is exchanged for an access token through our secure Cloudflare Worker proxy. The resulting access token is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to or retained by our servers.
Google Sheets: When you sign in with Google, authentication is handled directly through Google's OAuth flow via the Chrome Identity API. Your Google access token is managed by Chrome and is never transmitted to our servers.
Data Storage on Your Device
The Extension stores settings and authentication tokens using Chrome's built-in storage APIs:
chrome.storage.sync: Stores preferences, destination settings, workspace names, and database selections. This data syncs across your Chrome browsers if you are signed into Chrome.
chrome.storage.local: Stores authentication tokens (Notion access token). This data remains on your local device only.
You may clear all stored data at any time by signing out of connected services and deactivating your license within the Extension, or by uninstalling the Extension.
Permissions
The Extension requests the following browser permissions:
activeTab: To read post metrics from LinkedIn pages you are viewing
storage: To save your settings and authentication tokens locally
identity: To authenticate with Google for Google Sheets integration
tabs: To navigate between LinkedIn posts during bulk metric updates
alarms: To perform periodic license validation checks
Host permissions: To communicate with the Notion API, Google Sheets API, and our license validation server
Third-Party Services
The Extension interacts with the following third-party services only when you choose to connect them:
Notion API (api.notion.com) — to read and write to your Notion databases
Google Sheets API (sheets.googleapis.com) — to read and write to your Google spreadsheets
Google Drive API (googleapis.com) — to create spreadsheets in your Google Drive
Google Identity (accounts.google.com) — for Google account authentication
Each of these services is governed by its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your LinkedIn post data, authentication tokens, or Extension usage data with any third party. No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking is performed by the Extension.
Data Retention
Post metrics are stored only in your chosen Notion workspace or Google spreadsheet. We do not retain copies. License activation records (license key and associated email) are retained in our customer management system for the duration of your license.
Removal of Data
To remove all Extension data from your device:
Sign out of Notion and Google within the Extension
Deactivate your license
Uninstall the Extension from Chrome
To request deletion of your license activation record, contact privacy@drdegnan.com.

We reserve the right to modify our Privacy Policy from time to time. Such modifications will not be individually communicated to users, but will be reflected in the updated date in this section.
